Plus minus 80 year old from a farm in Central.,/south of Namibia. Does it have a special name. Can it be front Germany?

This is interesting, because I’m actually in Fresno, CA & I came searching google to find out what type of oranges might be on a tree that my Aunt has in her yard. They taste like the oranges we used to eat as kids. Store bought oranges now don’t taste anything like them.

I grew up on these, and buy online from Florida… they have been renamed royal tangerines (?). Google Temple oranges.

I have a temple orange tree! We planted it 5 years ago and got about 25 oranges from it this last season. The fruit and the leaves are beautiful, rich colors. The fruit is tart and juicy, but FULL of seeds!

Loquats are entirely different fruit., nothing like an orange except color only.

I’ve been buying them this year; they are slightly flattened, sweet ,but with a good flavour balance, and peel well.

I agree! Love temples. I have to order them direct from growers in Florida. They don’t seem to ship them North anymore. Not sure why!
